How long will it take to receive my order?

  • Orders are usually shipped within 3 to 5 business days from receipt of payment.

  • Priority mail takes 2-3 days depending on how far you are from Ohio!

  • Orders placed on Friday are posted the following business day

  • Business days are Monday through Thursday!

How will I know when my order has shipped?

  • Our system does NOT send out "your order has shipped" notices

  • If you register (create an account) an account during the checkout process, you will be able to  check the date your order has been shipped. Just come back in a few days and log-in at My Account. The link is available at the top of all of our pages.

When you order via the shopping cart, you are asked to choose your shipping option from a drop down menu!

So many of our customers have asked us to continue offering the Flat Rate shipping options. 
For those of you new to flat rate shipping--there are lots of "no-no's" especially for the Flat Rate Envelopes . . so please read all the information below!

If you do not want to deal with all of the issues involving flat rate--
please simply choose the "Priority Mail  when you check out. 
This option determines postage by directly communicating with the USPS website.

The United States Postal Service is the ONLY shipping service in the US to achieve "Cradle to Cradle" certification at the Silver level from MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry) for human and environmental health.

We do not use regular First Class mail or Parcel Post shipping click here to find out why!

Please help us get your package to you on time:  For those customers using PayPal or any type of Credit Card (which is also processed via PayPal) we print our shipping labels directly from the PayPal site.  Please double check your PayPal address or the address you enter in the credit card information.  Make sure it is correct and has your full address, apartment numbers, or other necessary delivery information.  Although we do check to be sure the address is the same as the one you provided on your order form, we may not notice a misspelled street name, missing apartment number, or other missing info.

2. Priority Flat Rate BOX For Orders under $160.00

Choose "Flat Rate BOX Priority Mail: from the "CHOOSE Shipping Method Menu" drop down menu  **The cost of insurance is now added to all Flat Rate Boxes!

Wrapped and labeled items are placed in a USPS Priority Flat Rate Box. The rate for any weight to anywhere in the US is $11.75 plus insurance (see below).  The box is only 8 inches x 5 inches x 11 inches and only holds a certain amount of merchandise.

  • The Flat Rate shipping options (envelope or box)  CANNOT be used for Soap Gift items or Howard's Woodshop items.

For VERY LARGE orders, please choose Priority Mail and we will refund any postage over payment!

The postage is actually calculated by the USPS based on the weight of the package
and the zone distance from our zipcode 44022.

The USPS insurance coverage fees are:
 $1.75 ................ $0.01 to $50.00
$2.25 ................ $50.01 to $100
$2.75 ................ $100.01 to $200
$4.70 ................ $200.01 to $300
$5.70 ................ $300.01 to $400
$6.70 ................ $400.01 to $500
$7.70 ................ $500.01 to $600
$8.70 ................ $600.01 to $700
$9.70 ................ $700.01 to $800
$10.70 ................$800.01 to $900
$11.70 ................$900.01 to $1000.00

 

 

In an effort to reduce the amount of waste generated and to save lots of trees, we do not include paper invoices in your packages.  So please save a copy of the invoice you receive via e-mail for future reference.

We also recycle the packaging materials we receive (like packing peanuts) and use shredded paper whenever possible.


 

A quality bar handmade soap will often "sweat" in humid weather due to the high content of natural humectants.
